We use Wyse P45 zero clients with Tera2 firmware rather than ThinOS, so this may not directly compare, but I have found issues when moving between firmwares which need interim versions. For example, when moving up from Tera2 firmware 4.8.1 to 5.2.1, we had to do an interim step to 5.0.2 first otherwise it wouldn't recognise the newer version. Even though the different firmwares were all using the .all file format, the same 'invalid file format' error was thrown trying to go straight from 4.8.1 to 5.2.1.
Recently I updated the firmware for a C10LE to C10LE - 8.3B011, the. I had another terminal upgrade to C10LE - 8.3B011 and did not have. View and Download Dell Wyse C10LE quick manual online. In addition, the Dell Wyse USB Firmware Tool allows experience and View 4.6 provides.
Good Morning - After posting a question recently about a couple of issues I'm having with my thin clients, I was told that most likely my specific issues were resolved in newer firmware versions. My company is in a POC stage where we are testing two thin clients and may eventually get over 1000. The problem is, I've looked everywhere to try to find the newest firmware online for my specific model, but cannot find it anywhere. Below is detailed model identification info as well as things I've tried to find the firmware with my results:
Detailed Model Information
I've learned a bit more about my model since the original post. Therefore, I wanted to add more detail about the model I'm trying to find firmware for

Where I've Looked for Firmware
- Dell Wyse Support Downloads Page
You'd think it would be here, but my model is not listed
- USB Firmware Tool
This was an option from the dropdowns on the page above. I downloaded it, launched it, and chose to update firmware for my model. It asked for me to browse to and select the firmware file and I don't have one + don't believe it was included in the package :(

- Google Search
I searched for many variations of my model number, part number, 'wyse', 'firmware', 'download' with no luck for additional information
- Wyse Self-Service Portal
I filled out the information to open an account for the Wyse Self Service Portal. Once approved and I was in, I found out that I needed to register a device to get detailed info and downloads for it. To do this, I must input a 'registration code' for which I don't have / can't find. I read on another site that it's provided when you purchase a maintenance contract, but don't know if that's required or not for what I am needing
- Opened Wyse Support Portal Ticket
In the portal, I opened a support ticket for which I had to fill out detailed information about my device therefore prooving purchase. I asked how to get the firmware for my model as well as how to find a registration code if I have one / need one. The ticket was opened 24+ hours ago as standard priority. I have yet to receive any response whatsoever.
Any ideas / suggestions? I honestly don't know why getting firmware for these things isn't as simple as getting drivers for Dell PCs. Why does it have to be so complicated?
Thanks!
